The Bebop lightweight pedal design has been used and abused on road and mountain bikes for the better part of two decades. Originally designed in Huntington Beach, California, Bebops are now built by pedal manufacturing giant VP One. These lightweight, high performance pedals possess several unique design features which make them ideal for injured or injury-prone cyclists.
The Bebop pedal/cleat interface features a simple, dual-sided step down entry with a whopping 20 degrees of float. The contact between the hardened steel cleat and pedal is a completely flat surface, which allows for maximum stability and efficiency and is responsible for the Bebops' signature icy-feeling float. The cleats may be flipped and/or rotated to customize the release angle and neutral position.
This stainless steel-spindled version of the Bebop pedal system represents one of the best values in a lightweight, durable, and adaptable pedal design. The pedal bodies spin on a set of precision needle bearings paired with sealed cartridge bearings for extra long life.
Installation / Assembly
Detailed instructions are included, along with a complete set of cleat mounting hardware and adapters to allow for compatibility with nearly all 2-bolt mountain and 3-bolt road shoes. The pedal spindles require a standard 15 mm pedal wrench for installation.
