Sram's X-Dome Eagle design is the absolute pinnacle of modern cassette construction. Using a combination of heavily machined aluminum and steel components, Sram has created a cassette that allows riders to eschew their front derailleurs while retaining a 500% gear range that's not far off from the mountain triple drivetrains of yesteryear. The newest features of Sram's 1x cassettes are included here for smoother, quieter shifting and ultra-strong construction. Mating the XG-1299 XX1 cassette with its counterpart XX1 Eagle shifter and rear derailleur allows for an incredibly lightweight, yet incredibly versatile drivetrain to tackle whatever terrain gets in your way.
The XX1 Eagle 12 speed cassette can only be installed on Sram XD freehub bodies. Additionally, due to the wide gear range, these 10-50 cassettes may only be used with Sram Eagle 12-speed rear derailleurs, and must be equipped with Sram 12-speed chains.
