After the best materials are selected, a specific “layup schedule” is developed to make sure the materials are used optimally. The shallow drop (123mm) and reach (75mm) provide easier access to your controls throughout all hand positions, as well as easier and faster transitions between hand positions. This works to eliminate exaggerated, over-extended positioning as well as awkward transitions, which means better control and more comfortable positioning. The Hover's unique 15mm rise helps to accommodate a wide fit range. Specialized has all the small details covered too; textured surfaces at all clamping zones help prevent slippage on even the roughest of terrain and the drops feature drill-outs for internally wiring Shimano’s Di2 bar end junction box. These bars feature a black satin finish and are available in 38mm, 40mm, 42mm, and 44mm widths.
