Rapid Drive 54 tooth SL Ratchet System
Some time in 2013 Bontrager asked DT to design and manufacture a custom tooth count ratchet drive to be used in high end Bontrager wheels. The result was an ultra light, 54 tooth “Rapid Drive” . By adding 18 teeth to the design, DT was able to decrease the engagement angle from 10 degrees to just 6.67. Originally intended for use in Bontrager mountain wheels that utilize DT Swiss internals, the Rapid Drive ratchet system will work with any road or mountain DT Swiss hub the uses the Star ratchet system. The SL ratchet kit is also manufactured using less material saving an extra grams over the Stock ratchet system that ships with 240 and 350 hubs. All ratchet systems are made from the same high grade steel.

Centerlock to 6 bolt Adapter
The DT Swiss centerlock adapter is a simple conversion kit that allows those using centerlock hubs to utilize 6 bolt disc brake rotors. Centerlock is an increasingly popular standard for brake and hub manufacturers due to its simplicity and user friendly design. Using a lockring to tighten the disc brake rotor onto the hub has proven to be a repeatable and secure means of installation. Those of us who wish to utilize a centerlock hubset, but don’t feel the need to purchase new centerlock rotors quite yet can benefit greatly from the DT centerlock conversion kit. Inexpensive and incredibly easy to install, the DT conversion kit is a sound fix for your centerlock / 6 bolt compatibility issues.
