With the wide range cassette choices available today, many riders are choosing to forego the use of a front derailleur for a single front ring and mountain style cassette. The new Gravel and Cyclocross rings available often have chain retention systems built into them but under strenuous riding conditions chain loss is still an issue. The Praxis Works Braze-on Chain Guide offers a simple and lightweight choice to alleviate the worry of a dropped chain. Utilizing the existing front derailleur mount the Chain Guide fits above the chainring maintaining positive retention even over the roughest terrain. Intended for Gravel and Cyclocross sized rings ranging from 38 - 46 teeth the Injection Molded head is adjustable in angle and lateral placement while the dual mounting holes allow for fine height tuning for optimal performance. If a mishap does occur the head can be pivoted up out of the way for easy access and maintenance with only a 4mm allen. For those looking to ride without worrying about bike performance this small component offers peace of mind at minimal cost.
Praxis Works has a 2 year warranty against material or workmanship defects. Check out their warranty here for any questions.
