|Full THM M3 Crank Manual|
THM's M3 mountain bike crankset, much like the popular M3 road model adds a level of flexability in standards unseen in cranks up to this point. While the M3 retains a similar full carbon arm structure as its predecessor, the Clavicuala, the oversize spindle has been redesigned in aluminum for greater reliability and overall strength. In this redesign, THM made another marked improvement; the chainring spider is now completely interchangeable to allow cross compatibility between mountain bike chainring standards. Already available standards are double 104 / 64 BCD, double 120 / 80 BCD, SRAM XX1, triple 104/64 and all SRM options. Not only does the M3's interchangeable spider design allow immediate flexibility, it almost assuredly future proofs you for new chainring standards.
Please note that Clavicula cranks are designed for extended, yet ultimately limited use. These cranks should be retired or returned to THM for inspection after 100,000 km (62,000 mi) or after 10 years of use.
THM M3 is sold as a modular crankset. Please make sure to order all necessary parts. Choose crank arms by length and finish. Choose spider by chainring interface standard. Choose bottom bracket fit. Then just add chainring bolts and chainrings for a complete crankset.
A torque wrench with 4 mm hex bit is required for proper installation of the crank arms. A large crescent wrench or 36mm hex wrench is necessary for the spider lock ring tool. If you are ordering a threaded bottom bracket a THM installation tool is necessary.
