KCNC's complete linear pull brake set is, if nothing else, a testament to their machining prowess. Each individual 6061 aluminum component of this set features complex shaping and careful design to allow maximum performance at the lowest possible weight. The levers and calipers are fully adjustable to fit a wide variety of cycles and riders.
Both front and rear caliper sets are incredibly stiff and strong, with performance on par with the best the competition has to offer. Each individual arm features a thick stainless steel spring rod with wide tension adjustment. The cable pinch mechanism is particularly well-designed, with an M7 scandium bolt and a nicely grooved cable seat. The pad holders are designed with a common concave/convex washer system for full tilt, toe, and height adjustments.
The included pair of two-finger brake levers stand out on their own as truly lightweight components at a mere 33 grams each. The bar clamp and lever pivot are combined in the interest of keeping things simple, and the lever itself is slim and compact. Standard adjustments are included: a reach adjustment screw and lockring, as well as a minimalist threaded barrel for convenient micro adjustments.
The V6 brake set is available in six different colors, and each component is bead blasted prior to anodization for an attractive finish and extended fatigue life.
Cables and housing are not included.
Detailed instructions are provided to aid in assembly and adjustment of the V6 brake set. Required tools include: an 8 mm box wrench, 4 and 5mm hex wrenches, a medium flathead screwdriver, and cable service tools. We also recommend use of a torque wrench to prevent damage to the aluminum fasteners.
For further weight reduction, four each of M8 and M10 aluminum brake studs are included. These are not necessary for installation, and may not be compatible with certain frames and forks.
