For over a decade KCNC has been making some of the most innovative aftermarket bicycle parts available. Their cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities have allowed them to push component designs to the limit, resulting in beautifully-finished lightweight components that are often more capable than the OEM parts they replace. With its 9-52 tooth gearing, KCNC’s Eagle cassette expands the range in both directions in comparison to SRAM manufactured Eagle cassettes (10-50 tooth range). Even with the expanded gear range, KCNC was able to make their Eagle cassette 32 grams lighter (325g) than the lightest comparable SRAM cassette (XG-1299 Eagle 10-50T, 357g claimed weight). The largest 7 cogs are intricately machined out of one-piece of lightweight aluminum, both the material itself and the careful machining contribute to considerable weight savings. The smallest 5 cogs feature steel construction for durability, however also employ one-piece construction and advanced machining to keep weight as low as possible. These small 5 cogs feature a unique, eye-catching rainbow finish that really pops against the backdrop of the handsome, but subtle, black finish of the 7 larger aluminum cogs. Expanded functionality, lower weight, and an exotic finish really set this KCNC cassette apart from comparable offerings currently available from other manufacturers, and would make a fantastic upgrade to 12 speed Eagle drivetrains. This cassette is compatible with 12 Speed SRAM Eagle drivetrains and uses the XD mounting standard.
