For cyclists who are serious about counting grams, the final step in any bike build is the weigh-in. Though awkward, some level of accuracy may be achieved on a bathroom scale; but to really get an accurate and quick measurement, nothing beats a hanging scale. With a weight capacity of 55 pounds, the Alpine scale from Feedback Sports is excellently crafted for multi-purpose gear weighing, with some handy features that bring some extra satisfaction to the task. For ultimate stability, the Alpine is equipped with a stainless cylinder for mounting in common bicycle repair stands. Lacking a repair stand, this scale is easily hung by a nylon loop on the top. Underneath, the bicycle is hung safely from vinyl-coated hook while the large, easy-to-read display gives accurate weights within +/- 10 grams. The Alpine scale is ensured a long life with durable, shock-proof construction with sealed buttons and display, all covered under a 1-year warranty. Four AAA batteries are included, and will require infrequent replacement due to the Alpine's Auto Shut-Off feature.
