The HyperWiz is designed as a lighter alternative to the stock hub provided with the RockShox RS-1. This tasteful little amalgamation of carbon and aluminum features a hybrid axle, that like its hub shell is a combination of aluminum ends with a carbon center section. Due to its oversize end caps and 27mm axle the HyperWiz is remarkably stiff. This translates into less flex and keeps the front wheel tracking straight while railing through corners. Coming in at a scant 98 grams this is the lightest hub on the market compatible with the RS-1. If your looking to upgrade and shed a few grams from the front end the Extralite HyperWiz is the perfect hub to pair with your RS-1.
Please note that this hub is only compatible with the RockShox RS-1 fork. While the Boost 110 standard sounds similar the oversize encaps will prevent this hub from aligning with the drop outs.
We recommend that any wheel built with the HyperWiz be assembled by an experienced wheelbuilder. We are happy to provide this service and can provide tips on rim and spoke selection if you so choose. Please contact us if you have any questions.
