The HyperSmart 3+ rear hub from Extralite is a lightweight, high-performance hub for mountain and gravel bikes, weighing just 145 grams. It features a 7075 aluminum shell and a 17mm oversized axle for stiffness. High-quality stainless steel bearings with low-friction seals ensure smoothness. The floating-ring engagement mechanism is refined for better response and reduced noise. It offers 24 or 28 hole drillings and compatibility with Shimano and SRAM drivetrains. Extralite's precision and attention to detail make this hub both lightweight and dependable.
SERVICE
Due to the lightweight construction of Extralite hubs, it is recommended that service be performed at frequent intervals to ensure proper function and the longest possible wear life of the internal components. Detailed service instructions can be found here. We recommend Extralite's Alugrease or Buzzy's Slick Honey for proper and effective lubrication of the seals and freehub mechanism.
