The HyperSmart3-F front hub offers axle stiffness with 12mm thru-axle and 15mm quick-release setups. Its 17mm axle is precision-machined with 6803-2RS bearings. The multi-shaped profile and micro-tuner allow precise bearing preload adjustment, minimizing friction and maximizing life. Soft-Touch O-ring seals protect against contaminants. The wide disc-brake flange reduces spoke stress, and straight-pull spoking enhances rigidity. Made from 7075TXX aluminum, it weighs 68 grams and is available in 24 or 28 hole drillings, compatible with 100mm quick-release forks and 12mm and 15mm thru-axles.
SERVICE
Due to the lightweight construction of Extralite hubs, it is recommended that service be performed at frequent intervals to ensure proper function and the longest possible wear life of the internal components. Detailed service instructions can be found here. We recommend Extralite's Alugrease or Buzzy's Slick Honey for proper and effective lubrication of the seals and freehub mechanism.
