Extralite CyberRear SPD-3+ Road Disc Hub

Extralite's CyberRear SPD-3+, the third iteration, maintains a featherweight 146 grams for the Shimano freehub version. The non-drive side flaunts a cross-laced straight pull design for easy wheel building and spoke replacement. CNC reprofiling ensures equalized spoke tension and higher maximum tension. Accommodating standard 14 gauge or Pillar's X-Tra Lite Titanium 13 gauge spokes, the hub enhances wheel stiffness, reducing lateral flex and improving braking response. The micro-tuner allows precise bearing preload adjustment, minimizing friction. The freehub boasts dual pawls with a 32t engagement ring, supporting Shimano / SRAM, Campagnolo (10, 11 , 12 speed or N3W) and SRAM XDR bodies. Crafted from military-grade 7075TX aluminum and Grade 5 Titanium, it's designed exclusively for road disc bikes. SERVICE

Due to the lightweight construction of Extralite hubs, it is recommended that service be performed at frequent intervals to ensure proper function and the longest possible wear life of the internal components. Detailed service instructions can be found here. We recommend Extralite's Alugrease or Buzzy's Slick Honey for proper and effective lubrication of the seals and freehub mechanism.
