Enve has gotten plenty of experience in the high end carbon market. With this gained confidence they have started to venture into uncharted territory. Departing from their traditional mold of simplicity, we are finally beginning to see what their creative minds can dream up and bring into reality. Their extensive knowledge in carbon production allows Enve to work their materials into shapes that seem altogether impossible. A mixture of form and function that has equal parts sleek looks and utilitarian purpose, the ENVE Carbon Gravel Road Fork is an object with some quite unique features. Like most road forks, it mounts to the front of your frame, holds your front wheel, and keeps your handlebars aligned. That's where the similarities end though. While plenty of carbon forks can be used with fenders, only ENVE's comes with an integrated full carbon fender that can be removed and installed without any tools. The ingenious design uses molded clips and recessed areas in the fork for positive retention and easy removal/installation. The design is so well put together that once installed there is very little wiggle or movement, and no rattling even over rough terrain. A work of art that needs to be held to be truly appreciated the ENVE Gravel Road Fork offers a new step in customizing your ride anything bike.
Based on the ENVE Road Disc Fork the construction is entirely unidirectional carbon fiber with a sleek matte finish. The minimalist glossy decals are not attention grabbing and allude to ENVE's characteristic quiet grace. Choosing the 12mm thru axle standard for security and hassle free wheel changes, the low profile aluminum axle does not have a handle to stick out and grab stray branches or riders. Opting for the Flat Mount disc brake standard to match today's road groups, this fork has a max rotor size of 160mm for riders choosing superior stopping power and modulation. With a max tire size of 35mm with the fender installed, or 38mm without the fender this is the perfect option for anyone wishing to try out the performance benefits of wider gravel tires. Managing the brake housing is a simple task thanks to ENVE's carbon housing clip that securely clings to the left fork leg keeping the housing from moving or slapping about. A feature that might go unnoticed until it comes in handy is the glossy finish on the under side of the fender. While this may not seem significant, glossy finishes are easier to clean and do not hold onto dirt and debris like some matte finishes. Small touches like this are proof that ENVE not only has a creative side but also a keen focus on performance.
