With the rise of gravel and mixed surface riding, Enve sought to fill a gap in their rim lineup that would offer both the toughness and flat resistance of their mountain rims while maintaining the light weights and high efficiency of their road rims. Using the insight gained in building some of the world’s best road and mountain rims, Enve created the G23, their definition of a true gravel rim.
At 330 grams, Enve’s lightest 700c tubeless carbon clincher rim, the G23 accelerates quickly and ascends with ease. With its generous 23mm internal width, the G23 is designed to be paired with gravel treads between 35mm and 45mm. While this range of tire widths provide plenty of control and traction, they do not offer much as far as pinch-flat protection. To greatly reduce the likelihood of “pinch” or “snake-bike” style flats, the G23s feature Enve’s Wide Hookless Bead technology developed for its mountain rims. This technology makes use of a wider leading edge of the hookless bead, a broad surface that creates a more forgiving platform for tire bottom-outs. The result is the ability to confidently ride the tire pressures you want, without limitations. With the molded bead-lock, the tubeless G Series ensures the tires will remain secure and sealed over the roughest terrain.
The G23 was created to be relentless on the road, path, or trail. Designed to tackle terrain littered with contradicting challenges, these rims meet the performance and ride quality demands of the most serious mixed-surface cyclists. Enve’s G23 is the go-to rim for discovering new terrain and conquering new challenges.
