With an impressive repertoire of components fit for even the most elite builds, Italian parts manufacturer Carbon-Ti is an experienced company capable of producing some truly impressive components from a variety of exotic materials. As an offshoot of LLS Titanium, Carbon-Ti is able to draw from decades of design and manufacturing experience and apply it to the creation of forward-thinking cycling components for nearly every discipline. With every serious component manufacturer offering their own version of the “Narrow-Wide” 1X chainring, finding the ideal chainring for your particular setup can be an incredibly time consuming task. Luckily, Carbon-Ti has perfected their own all-titanium version that is offered in a few of the most common crank/chainring interfaces. Looking to craft a chainring that can outperform and outlast the vast majority of current options, Carbon-Ti decided to machine their X-MonoSync chainrings out of lightweight and durable “Grade 5” titanium alloy. By utilizing this special alloy, Carbon-Ti ensures that each of their X-MonoSync chainrings lasts up to 3 times as long as a typical aluminum alloy contemporary.
This direct-mount version of the X-Monosync chainring is compatible with Sram and Truvativ's 3-bolt removable spider cranksets. Included are two spacers to adapt the ring for proper chainline for either BB30 or GXP spindle cranksets; use the 1mm spacer for short-spindle BB30 cranksets, or the 2mm spacer for GXP and long-spindle BB30 cranksets.
Similar to other designs, the Carbon-Ti X-MonoSync features a unique tooth profile that is designed to seamlessly integrate with the inner and outer plates of your chain. This integration means that the chain is essentially “locked” in place, thus reducing the possibility of chain drop / suck, while simultaneously eliminating the need for any sort of supplemental chain guide.
