Alpitude releases limited edition saddle.
Fair Wheel's house brand Ti gravel frame can be built up into a very exceptional ride. We've seen a few really individualistic builds utilize this frame to make something special. This is one of our favorites.
Whenever a new groupset is released by any of the major groupset manufacturers the first thing that comes to a tinkerer's mind is groupset compatibility. Now that both Shimano and Sram are producing 12 speed groupsets, we had to know if they were cross compatible. We had a feeling there were gear ratio's that were more optimal than each brands stand alone systems.
What if you could take Open's UP frameset and pair it with both Shimano and Sram components to deliver the perfect gear rations for both road and gravel riding. We wanted to keep the top speed of a road race bike and still have enough low end to get over any gravel climb.
Recently we had the chance to build a truly unique ride. A flat bar road bike that checked all the boxes in terms of style and lightness, while also being able to serve its main function as a townie to cruise around town on. Using an Open MIN.D frameset as the starting point, we were able to put something together that does not disappoint.
A lovely green S-Works Aethos, perfect for long rides and climbing picturesque mountain passes. We had the pleasure of building this one up with a Sram Red AXS groupset, and a robust wheelset ready for the long haul. Not a weight weenie build in the least, but absolutely race ready, weighing in at 6.9kg (15.21 lbs)
