In crafting the team issue titanium hammer, Abbey drew inspiration from the traveling race mechanic – a distinct group with specialized requirements. Lightweight and compact tools are essential for mechanics on the go, freeing up space for additional equipment that might otherwise be left behind.
TEAM ISSUE
The 12" Team Issue Titanium Hammer weighs just 265 grams, roughly half the weight of a similarly sized ballpeen hammer. Its soft rubberized side can be easily replaced with standard 1" threaded faces. Featuring a durable custom ESI grip for comfortable and secure handling, the hammer boasts an elegantly bead-blasted shaft and head, adorned with a laser-etched logo.
SHOP
The Shop Hammer sports a heat-treated 1.5" (38mm) stainless steel head and a 12" handle, featuring the ESI silicone grip identical to our Team Issue Hammer. At a sturdy 20oz (566g), it excels at tasks like setting crown races and removing press-fit bottom brackets. The standard configuration includes a green soft face, but replacement brass heads or soft faces are also on offer.
