Perhaps one of the most well respected names in the industry, 3T has been at the forefront of every professional podium for many decades. With roots trailing back to 1961, it’s easy to see why so many cyclists trust 3T components in their cockpit.
True to their reputation of excellence, the new ARX II shows their unparalleled attention to detail coupled with ideal performance characteristics. Utilizing a unique overall profile, they have created a stem that outperforms its contemporaries, while simultaneously maintaining a slick aesthetic. The newest evolution of the ARX stem features several noticeable changes that give it a well refined feel. The most obvious evolution throughout the stem is found in the faceplate. Still sporting the classic 3T cut out logo, the bolt flanges have been trimmed down creating a more sculpted and aerodynamic oval shape. The body of the stem has been flattened on the sides producing a profile that adds stiffness and a refined feel. The use of Torx drive Titanium hardware allows for further weight savings while offering secure clamping for both the handlebars and steer tube. Additionally the steer tube clamp has been refined to incorporate a single M7 bolt instead of two M5 bolts, resulting in weight savings due to all excess material being stripped away. The entire package offers an impressive build on a budget price. Sculpted from 7075 T6 aluminum, this stem rounds out any build with a quiet yet refined style.
We highly recommend utilizing a torque wrench and high quality bits when installing any component to avoid the dangers of too little torque or damage to your high quality items. When using a carbon handlebar Carbon paste is recommended to complete the installation. The Ti bolts come coated from the factory with anti-seize, however it is recommended to periodically check and relubricate them as needed.
