Detail
THM's newest crankset, the M3, makes several improvements over their long-standing Clavicula design with little compromise in weight and greatly increased durability with several interchangeable bottom bracket and chainring spider options. While the M3 retains a similar full carbon arm structure as its predecessor, the oversize spindle has been redesigned in aluminum for greater reliability and overall strength. In this redesign, THM made another marked improvement; the chainring spider is now completely interchangeable to allow cross compatibility between standard and compact road chainrings, and the spindle is fitted with SRM-compatible splines, allowing discerning cyclists the option of using a power meter with very little weight penalty.
Please note that Clavicula cranks are designed for extended, yet ultimately limited use. These cranks should be retired or returned to THM for inspection after 100,000 km (62,000 mi) or after 10 years of use.
Ordering
THM M3 is sold as a modular crankset. Please make sure to order all necessary parts. Choose crank arms by length and finish. Choose spider by Compact (110BCD) or Standard (130BCD). Please note that spider includes spider mounting bolts. Choose bottom bracket fit. Then just add chainring bolts and chainrings for a complete crankset.
Installation/Assembly
Detailed installation instructions are included. All threaded bottom brackets include the THM installation tool. A torque wrench with 4 and 5 mm hex bits is required for proper installation of the spider and crank arms.
