Detail
THM's renowned full carbon Clavicula crankset features a revolutionary design which makes no compromises in weight, performance, or aesthetic. These cranks were cooperatively created with German-based design specialist, Formagic.
New production methods, never before used for bicycle cranksets, allow for a giant leap in total stiffness. The crank's stiffness-to-weight ratio set a new standard which rival manufacturers have yet to match. In-house lab testing of various high end cranks show the superior performance of the Clavicula crank system.
These are standard road cranks designed with a 130 mm bolt circle diameter, and compatible with 68 mm wide bottom bracket shells. The cartridge bearing bottom bracket attaches outside of the frame using standard BSA threads. This design allows the use of larger diameter bearings and a wider bearing placement. In combination with the 30 mm diameter spindle, these modifications make for a very stiff drivetrain. Bottom brackets are sold separately and available for most standards.
Extensive testing of this ground-breaking invention was THM's top priority. Various long term and stress tests have been undertaken, because as a pure-bred racing component the Clavicula must be able to continually withstand the highest loads - be it in hard sprints or during the toughest classics.
Please note that chainrings are NOT included with this crankset.
Installation
A proprietary bottom bracket cup tool is needed along with a 4mm hex wrench and a torque wrench. Detailed installation instructions are included.
