NeilPryde’s sizeable knowledge of carbon fiber manufacturing is widely respected due to decades in the watersports industry. Established in 1970 as a simple sail manufacturer for yachts in the European market, they quickly waded into the production of quality masts. Introducing the frame that carried the UnitedHealthcare pro team to 90 podium finishes in 2013, the Nazaré. Designed as the perfect all around road frame that incorporates well thought out aerodynamics, and an expertly tuned carbon layup that results in excellent overall riding characteristics. Utilizing one piece chainstays/dropouts, the Nazaré requires less carbon at bonding points, saving weight, while eliminating unnecessary joints to produce a stiffer ride. Additionally by using pre-preg carbon fiber, NeilPryde is able to greatly reduce the necessary overlap in layers, saving even more weight. By incorporating wide tube profiles and specially designed Kamm-tails throughout the frame, the Nazaré retains torsional rigidity while effectively managing both turbulent and laminar air flow.
