KMC's X10SL chain is the all-around best-performing, lightest chain available today. The X10SL is the result of 3 years of development and testing by KMC, in which they radically rethought the chain production process to produce a product unmatched in lightness and strength. In testing, this chain was put through the wringers by cyclists of all disciplines, from road racing to mountain downhill and exceeded all expectations.
The X10SL features hollow inner and outer plates and hollow pins. The pins are riveted using KMC's "Lat Step" process, which seals the outer plates with a massive 350 kilograms of force, making it the strongest chain connection in the industry today. The chain's outer plates are shaped with KMC's X-bridge design, which allows for smoother, more precise shifts. High-precision manufacturing tolerances, along with a proprietary X-SP friction-reducing treatment extends chain life.
Pink Lady - These special colored chains feature pink powder-coat on the chain's pins and inner plates. Additionally, KMC is donating 15% of the sales from these chains to the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
Gold (TiN) - Beyond their bold appearance, KMC's Titanium Nitride coated chains are less susceptible to dirt intrusion, easier to clean, and last longer than standard chains.
Gold / Black - These World Tour Limited Edition Vacansoleil/DCM chains feature KMC's TiN treatment with additional aesthetic black coating on the pins and inner plates. This chain is packaged in a handsome gift box.
DLC - These chains feature a super hard and highly wear resistant diamond like coating. Available in stealth black, or with red powdercoated pins and inner plates for extra style points.
