KCNC Ti Cassette Details

KCNC 10 speed cassette for Shimano. 2 piece construction. The 8 largest cogs are mounted to a one piece 7075 aluminum carrier and the 2 smallest cogs are machined from a single piece of titanium. This means there are no sharp edges on the cassette to cut into aluminum freehub bodies. As light and lighter than most aluminum cassettes but more durable and with a longer life span.

Instillation

The KCNC Titanium cassette up to 36 tooth, for a mountain bike, and 27 tooth, for a road bike, need no special instillation and simply require a chain whip and cassette lockring tool. The 11-38 tooth cassette does come with a longer B-Axle for Shadow series rear derailleurs. Whether you need this longer B-Axle will be dependant on your frame and is only necessary if your rear derailleur does not clear the 38 tooth cog. Refer to either your local bike shop or the Shimano Shadow tech doc when replacing the B-Axle Assembly.
