Falco Bike Design Diary -- My Dream Bike - Engineering Time

Postby elviento » Mon Oct 17, 2011 7:01 pm

I am in the process of designing my own dream bike, which will be a monocoque carbon all purpose road bike. This is like the ultimate custom bike experience, so I have created a thread on ww at this link:

Feel free to drop by and share some fun...

Bikes are so nice now... How do you top a Venge/S5/Foil/AeroadCF/AR1/Alize/A2J?

The answer is: to ignore the UCI regulations.

What if you ignored 3:1 and built the lighter and more refined version of these?:

Anyway good on ya man. :applause: Keep us posted..
the problem? could be the nut behind the handlebars.

Those were the good old days, but the newest TT bikes (while certainly not as sexy) are faster.

The Cervelo P4 is faster than the Lotus and I am pretty sure that the Lotus was the fastest of all the bikes shown above.
Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?

Fascinating stuff.. be sure to post any of that stuff (old bikes in wind tunnels). :D

Do you think that a UCI-compliant bike can keep up with something no-holds-barred and illegal?
the problem? could be the nut behind the handlebars.

I once heard about a guy who had a Lotus but sold it to get a Cervelo ...
There was actually an old Cervelo that looked quite a bit like it?

Exactly :top:
Now I see it it doesn't look that much like it, but it does have the handlebars on the bottom crown of the fork like Boardman had.

Here is a quick update. Sorry I didn't go the Y-foil/MCR/route. I am indeed working on a TT version though. Hope you like it. The design features are explained on ww so I am not going to type it up again... This is my second Proto and had some improvements over Proto #1. More improvements will be coming...

Cheers,
