Sram Compatible Down Tube Shifter

Postby bgillis08 » Thu Jul 28, 2011 5:11 pm

Has anyone had any luck pairing DA or Campy DT shifters with Sram Red/Force Derailleurs?

Alternatively has anyone been able to mod Sram TT 500, 900, or R2C levers to fit on standard downtube mounts?

Anything that can be run as a friction shifter should work. I know the old 9 speed Shimano TT shifters could be ran either friction or indexed, so maybe there is a down tube shifter as well.

I run BTP downtube levers (entire assembly weights under 10 grams) with a Sram red rear derailluer and a 9 speed recon cassette. If you're going to run downtube shifters you owe it to yourself to run friction. Friction just feels good.
