full internal Di2 (with frame mounted charging port!)

Discussion on bikes, and whatever...

full internal Di2 (with frame mounted charging port!)

Postby rob56 » Tue Aug 02, 2011 6:26 am

Icarus lights provided the internal battery (half the weight of stock Di2, 150% of the capacity), I just had to machine up the pieces to enable mounting the micro-usb port on the frame (yup, charge your bike with your phone charger....). This bike will be on show at Het Fairwheel Podium in Portland for the next couple of weeks. Steel frame, stem, fork (and crank!), 14.8lbs. Cheers, Rob.

Gorgeous.
Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?

Incredible.

Do the seatstays actually do something besides holding the brakes?

Not bad! I'm not that keen on the cranks, and the forks and seat stays look a little skinny for my liking but the bike as a whole is really nice and the detailing as always, is exceptional

What an awesome bike!! One size fits one -- that's custom.

Can you get these King top bearing caps in steel?

the problem? could be the nut behind the handlebars.

My bad....

What brand/model is that saddle I had the same one on my Colnago before but I stupidly sold it with the bike, it was Most(Pinarello) branded so I never knew the original brand :(

FAQinc: If it's MOst/Pinarello branded then it's a Selle Italia SLR.
