35 gram dash saddle

Well, the m.4 saddle is listed at $750 http://dashcycles.com/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=42 . But "the Donald" model p.3, the subject of this thread, is only $450 - that's within the same price range as AX Lightness saddles.

I'm not bashing Dash. I think they make AMAZING hubs and saddles. I just think there are niche brands (AX) and then there are ultra niche brands (dash). You cant deny the number of cyclists willing to spend in excess of $450 for a saddle with no padding and also weigh less than 75kg is fairly small. Some companies offer one model for this type of customer, but not the entire line of goods...and I'm not even going into the excessive prices of their wheel builds. I contacted them about one year ago and asked if they were ever going to produce a road saddles in the 135mm range. ( I think they are 122-129mm, with some wider foam mt. Versions). They said they were going to release one within the month. That never happened. I wonder why.

Whatever. It's not important. Nice saddle Don. Insanely nice build. Keep going with it and see if you can shed some more weight

I think the main difference between ax and dash is that ax are a fairly known quantity. Dash are very new but good luck to them. My biggest concern is how light can hubs and saddles go without being dangerous?

Might be a good one when Victoria is in TT mode. But then again, a little bird told me there might be a forthcoming Dash model even better suited for TT mode ...

Looks can be deceiving. The design is based very closely on the ISM Adamo. Now, perhaps you don't like that saddle, but it is VERY comfortable for a LOT of TT'ers and triathletes. You don't sit on it the same way as a regular saddle. Rather, you only use the front half, rather than the rear half. You sit in the portion that corresponds to the width of your ischial tuberosities, and your sensitive bits can "hang off the front" without pressing into anything.

For me, the ISM Adamo was the only saddle I could really get comfortable on with my tri position, which is fairly low/aggressive. Now, I have a much lighter option.

I never tried a TT saddle so I really have no idea. I hope this will be perfect for you. Comfort over looks.
