ANT+ cell phones to record your cycling data?

I just stumbled over the info that Sony Ericsson just enabled ANT+ for most or all of their Xperia cell phones.

I know little to nothing about cell phones, but if I carried one of those around, would it be able to record the data from my HR strap and my power meter? What format would it be in? Can endomondo, for example, do that?

I've never really used one, but I suppose there is an app for this?

The Xperia phones use android, AFAIK and whatever that means.

Yes, you would need an 'App'. Go Android Marketplace and get the free "My Tracks" App, it can sync with bluetooth and ANT+ devices.

These would include the QUARG powermeters and related ANT+ peripherals.

On a side note, this thing will really come alive with the 'Xperia Active" which is the sports/weatherproof version of the Xperia.
