Here are just a few new photos of the frame, the tubes are only glued together, I still have to reinforce the joints, make some more work on details, surface,...anyway, hope you like it:









As soon as I'll manage to do the carbon work I'll let you know.

I also have to decide how I'll finish the frame - graphics/paint, matte or gloss,..will see

Do you know what the individual tubes and pieces weigh? Would be cool to know how the weight is distributed over a cf frame. You'd think the down tube is the heaviest, but maybe I'm wrong.

The heaviest is the seattube , but I still have to cut it..but anyway, about the individual parts, unfortunately I didn't weighed them after I shaped them, but it's somehow like this:
-chainstays 120
-seatstays 80g
-downtube 165g
-toptube 85
-seattube 180g (I still have to cut it)
-headtube 40g
-dropouts 60g
-BB 20g

No problem! Yes, the toptube is one of the lightest tubes of the frame (and the seatstays cca. 40g for one). But you can't press it with you fingers like some Scott Addict, Wilier Cento, or some similar toptubes of some lighter frames. I could save some more grams on the tubing, but I prefer to make a stiff frame. Probably a Scott Addict toptube would be cca. -20g less, just my guess...


Probably a bit offtopic, but here are some interesting photos from a broken frame that I get last week..probably for most cyclist the "dream frame", but it is quite "scary" to see how is a 2000eur frame made:

I already managed to do the reinforcements. Still quite a lot of work to do, but anyway, here are some new photos. The surface is still "rough", without any work on the surface. I still have to add a few thin layers of epoxy and of course sand the surface etc.,... I also have to do some more work on the dropout area, I have to cut the ISP, integrate the saddle and the rear brake bridge,...anyway, let the photos talk instead of me:

For each joint I used also one layer of carbon/kevlar hybrid..





And after the beauty layer:


934 it will be SUB 1000g - even with the integrated saddle!

Some news - today I managed to prepare the surface for some more work (I have to do some more details for the cable-stops, brake-bridge,..). Later I'll add a few thin layers of resin and sand the whole surface again, to provide smooth surface and lines.

Here just one quick photo after sanding:




And finally some parts for the build. I get some KCNC CB1 breakes for a very good price and I decide to give them a try.. As on the photo they are only 115g:



Soon I'll get also some Sram Red parts...

I've been using those kcnc brakes (same color) for 3 years now (I think- possibly longer). They work just fine for me! You can also use powercordz with them.

I just made the "base tube" for the brake-bridge. At this moment it is only 6 layers of carbon (3 different types, one of them is also carbon/kevlar hybrid..). Now I have to drill some holes and some more carbon work to do, before I glue it on the frame..



It's still a bit too wide and only 3.3g for this small tube. As soon as I make some more work I'll keep you updated
