Combing DI2 Switches SW-7972 and SW-7970

Has anyone thought about using both the Sprint and Climbing switches at the same time, connected to the right shifter?

Because only one port is available after the brake lever / shifter is connected, you would need to cut and splice. I don't have the sprint shifter set yet, but I'm thinking about springing for a set and trying it. Shifters on the brake levers, drops and bar tops :mrgreen:

Yup - you would have to solder. As I have mentioned many times before though - custom buttons are the way to go. :wink:
Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?

I'm kinda surprised shimano hasn't made a splitter yet. It would've been a nicer solution than two different front wiring harnesses for TT bikes.

How about using sprint switches as climbing switches? I.e., use the sprint switches on the bar tops. Would they be smaller and more svete, yet still eminently usable?

Yup, they would work anywhere. I am surprised that we haven't seen that on the Pro bikes yet.

guess the cable length will not allow you to install them (sprint shifters) far from the levers without cutting the cables?

That's what I did, climbing buttons in addition to the more common sprinting buttons.
