But generating a proper wave form for the RD and FD is very easy since it is a long pulse (for shifting in one direction) and a square wave for shifting in the other direction. The signals are quite slow for today standards, it is all in the milliseconds.

ok project hitted by the wall

looks like i´ve blown my front cable set

down shift button doesnt work, problem isn´t in button.

i found that long pulse between up shift wire, (measured by bosch FSA) but nothing square waves going on on down shift side.

every wire is properly checked

it just wont down shift, not even on adjustment side

little bit scared cause i think when i buy new front set i think same is gonna happen

i hope problem isn´t in RD, at least crash recovery procedure is working, rd moves both ways

thinking to buy new front set but waiting to get some information on those waveforms, i have equipment to measure them. just won´t find any on my front set

if someone could try to take FD plug off and try to change gears on RD

im thinking that problems are caused missing FD

position wire is by the way needed for adjusting RD, if that´s not connected adjustment is not possible

might be ordering FD

my idea is ruined

I find this very strange. While I don't own di2, from all I've read you really shouldn't need the FD.

@Manninen, crash recovery does use the other wire then the one which is used for sending a shift signal to the derailleur. A bit cryptic, but I hope you understand.

You don't need a front-derailleur to ride with DI2.

trying to find local cyclist who has di2, i know theres not so many. at least test my RD, easy. if it works on his/her bike maybe buy/test that front cable set. somehow
my luck that i throw that 5 pin plug away allready

but please di2 users, unplug that FD and tell me if RD works correctly

Yes it works correctly. I also unplugged the FD when measuring, so I was able to understand the communication between junction box, FD and RD.
