Parlee Z4 Di2

Unfortunately I don't ever seem to find much time to post new builds in the gallery, but hopefully I'll get better about that. Here's a new one that we just finished for a customer.

Di2 with Dura Ace carbon cranks and HSC ceramic bottom bracket.

Chris King hubs on Enve 1.25 with custom decals and CxRays.

Edge, seatpost, bar, and stem.

Custom ee brakes, top cap, and some Di2 battery mounting/wiring to give it a few unique touches.

Tune bottle cages, conti tires and Lizard skin tape with Aliante finish it off.

Are they wrapped alu w/7800 underneat, or all carbon?

They are all carbon as far as I understand it. They were allegedly incredibly stiff but not terribly light.

I always thought that those cranks were alloy skeletoned with a carbon outer? That would explain the weight. If they're full carbon then I have no idea where the weight comes from?

Are you putting spoke washers on all CX Ray builds, or is it something unique about the King hubs?

Do you find the Parlee FD clamp to not be strong enough for Di2?

We use spoke washers on most builds. We don't need them for Alchemy or Ligero hubs, but with the longer elbow of he cxray compared to the aerolite we think it's a good idea to use it on any thin flanged hub.

It's not that we don't find the Parlee clamp strong enough, it's just that weight wasn't really a consideration on this bike, we wanted durability and reliability so we felt it was worth the extra 10 grams to go with the alloy clamp.

I don't think its particularly beautiful but you know it has tip f***ing top notch components throughout therefore drool factor.
I was going to ask about the spoke washers too. I used to work as a courier and the guy that built my wheels up used spoke washers on both wheels. Almost two years later I took the wheels apart the spoke holes on the hubs were absolutely immaculate; looking far better than a wheel I'd used for only 6 months. Since then I decided that I'd use washers on each and every subsequent build.
Is there any situation that you wouldn't use washers?
