English Cycles build *FINISHED* 6040g!

Bike is now in the hands of FED EX and thank god not UPS as they are just idiots. BROWN SUCKS!

So should have the bike on Tuesday after the long weekend and I can not wait to get it in my hands.

Now before I start getting posts about the build, I will be taking my time with the build and it will have to happen after the Whistler Gran Fondo. Most of the build parts will be coming off of the bike that I will be riding next weekend.

I will take my time and take pictures as I go.

The cables slide like butter in the housings which are Nokon housings. So I will now be running Nokon's instead to I-Links which is a bit sad since I really wanted to run the I-link minis.

The bike missing the chain and bar tape is currently at 6180g so I think I might be able to hit 6500g

I still have to run the brake cables but the housings are on the bike and when it went on the scale before needing to finish for the night, it weighed in at 6400g/14.1 lbs without bartape. So the build will be under 6500g for sure.

Pictures in the next day or so when I have some extra time. I sort of pushed everything else aside for the night which will not go over for another night.

could you not just change the wires to i-links?
thought you said that this build would go easy under 6kg?

I could change out the inners to I-links and run them all again but Rob has run Nokon's for me so I might as well go with that for now.

As for the weight, I could change over all of he parts from the SLC to this build but I really do not have the time as I want to ride this on Saturday for my Gran Fondo. I really do not want to strip down 2.5 bikes and rebuild them all just to get the English under 6kg. With that said, I might do that down the road and I do think that I could get this build under 6kg.

Once you see the build and what parts I have one there now, you will see that 6kg is not that far out of reach.
