Should have some new goodies today for my baby.

After 3 hours and 90km on her today I have decided to name her "DANICA" my Raven Haired Rocket.

It was amazing and I think that she will get a bit more muscle in the next few weeks which should make her just a bit heavier but faster.

Just like my favorite female racer. Light, fast and dead sexy. Long before I ever had kids and Danica Patrick came along I loved the name Danica. So when my daughter was born I got Danica veto'd right out the window in about 2 seconds. So I guess I can use it now.

its a BB30 ceramic BB?

and going on a cervelo S2....

Danica has been amazing to ride over the last little while but as mentioned, she will get a bit more muscle and with muscle you get a bit more weight.

She now has some full aero rings and a heavier crank as per the previously pictured when she was red and she will be getting some Sram Force levers and RD. Other changes will be Zero Gravity brakes, Fizik saddle and maybe some aerobars. She will be a lean mean aero machine. Just need to source some very nice aero brakes.

Why the brake change, didn't like the KCNC? Going to Simkins? Why going to Force now? Thanks for linking me to this BTW. You have lots of ideas I can employ on my own SLC.

I have been changing all my bikes around in the last 3 months so much that I could not really keep my focus on the builds but have finally sat down to sort them out. The SLC will become an aero road bike with as much light weight aero parts as possible. I had simkin's and Tektro T726R brakes for the build but needed the cash for my latest build. I have KCNC brakes on my third build which is where they will stay and I think the Zero Gravity will go on the SLC.

The EE brakes will work a lot better with the English build especially in the back where the housing exits directly build the seat tube. It will make a super clean set up.

The Sram Red will go on my new English road build as this will be my main build with the nicest components that I will have. The SLC will get 2010 Force and aerobars for a couple of triathlons that I will try to do next year. Aerobars will go on and off as needed. I think the Force will match up with the build nicely.

So the last piece of the puzzle will be some killer aero brakes like maybe some Hooker's if I can ever find them or maybe something modified to work nicely. It will still be nice and light for racing and some fast riding.

It would eliminate the tops as a hand position (possibly), but even on steep climbs I am usually on the hoods anyways.

Pricey though, but only 220g if I remember correctly, so the weight is good.

That's too weird I was going to tell him the same thing. The weight killed it for me though. My bars as like 40g less than that irc. They are the Vuka Sprint bars. I really like them, but I wished the weight was less. http://zipp.com/bars/vukasprint

I am thinking about something like that in the future and will take the weight penalty but at the same time I need some bars that will allow clip ons as well. The Easton EC90 Equipe do allow for clip ons and they are under 190g so I will most likely stick with them. The do not accept Profile bars however but since I have been using the HED clip-lites for years, it is not an issue. I checked with Easton a long time ago and they said under the table that the HED aerobars were fine to use since the clamping mechanism is way better than Profile's.

I think the best option at this time is the OVAL aero drop bar with the front clamping support with the under bar aerobar clamps. You can run the aerobar extentions without any armrests as the top of the bars is just as wide as any armrests. It is a half solution at best as you can not angle the extensions the way you want and are stuck with the angle you get.

when you got your fibre-lyte rings, what bolts did you use?

as I am thinking of going this way with my newly purchased zipp vuma quads...

also going to have to sand them back I think as they are second hand with a few scratches here and there.....

Which is obviously true, but also the case for a lot of "regular" aero bars. Who would just tilt up the airfoil base bar?

You can get a lot of different extensions and should at least get very close to what you want.
