Man, that was just messed up.

Like I needed a reminder of just one of the examples of how the Batman screwed up that Interbike trip.

Didn't you once say you'd race in that borat bananahammock thingy as well?
I suppose we could get you one of those as a birthday present next year ... :impish:

No, racing in a banana hammock would be dangerous. I would totally do the banana suit though.

Strangely, bananas do seem to be quite compelling. I'm not sure I'm quite that extreme yet but there is potential. I don't have an urge to race in a banana suit yet like Jeff, so I've still got some way to go :D

Hey, I wouldn't call it an urge, just something that would be hella funny. And awesome to be the guy in the banana suit that won the race.

If you don't have a banana-suit, you can start with this: http://www.bike-wps.com/index_en.html
Late happy birthday btw.

Waterproof clothing at a whole new level

Jeff, you could do the banana thing without wearing a banana suit. Just go all yellow, aero helmet, skin suit and mavic shoes. Cool, yellow and slippery

Nah, that's too close to being a Fred who rides in a TdF leaders jersey.

It would be fun to do a crit in full downhill MTB kit though, complete with full face helmet.

"If it comes really heavy."

Can anyone guess what that's supposed to mean?

"It's coming in really heavy" is an expression we use for stormy weather. I suppose their quote is close enough. "Chucking it down" is another one we use for lots of rain, don't know if you've heard that one?

I'm 99% sure they don't even know that expression, it's just a literal translation.

Since Jeff's birthday is almost a year away, maybe we should run a little contest. Guess what the following means, if you speak German you're out, sorry.

"You are heavy on wire"

"You are on the wood way"

Probably my favourite one:

"Circle run together break"

"The same procedure as every year, James"....Dinner for One..a TV show which is a Christmas Classic (like the wizard of oz) in Germany, and no Germans actually realise noone outside Germany has ever heard of it.
