I have this TREK 8900 SL as some of you know.
I've decided to mount disc brakes, as driving in muddy conditions and V-brakes don't quite add up...
Here's the problem though:
The brackets on the frame look like this:
There is 23mm center to center between the holes.
The brake caliper looks like this:
There is 73mm center to center between the holes
I have this bracket to put on the caliper:
I just not sure I can use this...

I really don't like the looks of this very much, but if that's what it takes, I will be willing to mount it.
Is there another way, or do I have to mount this badboy?
