My new Cervelo R3

Complete build list to follow, but the highlights are:
Frame: Cervelo R3
Fork: 3T Funda Pro
Brakes: AX Lightness Perseus
Saddle: Fizik Arione (or Becker Carbon)
Cranks: Cannondale Si SL SRM
BB: the Ti/Starnut special
Brifters & RD: SRAM Red
FD: Dura-Ace
Seatpost: KCNC Ti Pro Lite
Chain: KMC
Cages: BTP
Pedals: Speedplay Zero Ti (black)

Waiting for my Zipp SL bars to arrive in the mail & there is a 3T stem that matches much better that'll go with it. The fork steerer will also be properly trimmed then as well. When that shows up I'll toss on some light wheels & get it weighed. My guess is that it'll be about 13.5# with the SRM.

The 1st ride was yesterday & it's an amazing bike. I have been riding bikes with less than perfect shifting for the last month so it was great to be back on a proper build with perfect shifting.

That is one of the nicest looking R3's I've seen. I really like the white. Maybe some black C-dale SI-SL Arms would look good? Great bike!

I was thinking about black arms but I actually really like the silver look. It ties into the derailleurs. That's what I'll keep telling myself.

My LBS has one of the exact same framesets in at the moment and they look better up close than in photos... and they look great in photos

I was wondering if anyone would notice the flat rear tire! The only tube I had available has a valve stem that just a bit too short to pump up the rear tire. I wanted to get the pics posted this morning though.

Can't wait for the silver crank bolts to show up though.....

Nice one Pritchet, looks very familiar. One of my friends has a white R3 as well, they really do look extra nice in person
What bb did you use? I did hear there would be one coming out making it possible (more cost efficient and reliable then with the Sibex crank arms) to use the Cannondale SRM on any bike you'd like. Somehow the bargains on them now also seem to have disappeared ...

Pritchett, are you gonna leave those CSC stickers on the seat tube on?

Other than that I'm curious whatever tinkering you'll be doing on this bike. That R3 frame I'm sure is a great (-looking) platform!

The CSC stickers are definately coming off. I just haven't done it yet.

Ras - jrennie was telling me yesterday that I should go with a white saddle & bar tape. I think that I am now convinced. I just need to figure out how to keep white bar tape clean!

It took me a while to actually put 2 and 2 together; "wait, SRM Si on a Cervelo?" Anyway, white stem, saddle, tape.. and hoods?
