Tillquist,
The finished product looks amazing and it looks like a very CLEAN build.
The one thing that I do not quite understand is the extension design on the aerobars. While I do understand that overall straight extensions are more aero by themselves, these extensions actually look like they tilt down a bit. I have tried straight extensions and they were not very comfortable to me and I can not imagine these being tilted down a bit being very comfortable.
Also Cervelo just had a gathering and it was mentioned in some of the articles that straight extensions caused the riders forearms to be tilted down a bit which in turn caused a higher number in the wind tunnel. They mentioned that keeping the forearms level to the ground was a great starting point and some riders (Levi for one) were even more aero with their forearms tilted up a bit to direct the aeroflow around the rider better.
My thoughts on this design is that in the wind tunnel (if they were ever in there to begin with, might have been very good on their own) they would not perform very good with a rider using them and would produce higher numbers. I think for rider comfort and for a truely more aero position with the rider and bars together that they should have had a slight bend upwards like the Easton Attack TT's bars but maybe not as high.
What are your thoughts on the comfort level of the bars themselves and with your arms tilted down while riding. I would think that you would have great leverage for TT but comfort level would not be great.
Any thoughts on this would be great and as mentioned before, the overall bike is absolutely amazing.
