After 183 days without a government I thought it was time for a present before the country splits up :grin:

I'm just hoping my bike will be here soon after Christmas, unfortunately that won't fit under the tree :lol:

How did you snap the chain stay?
Want to trade my immaculate EC90SLX for (with 8.5" steer tube) for an uncut EC90SLX or EC90 Aero? long shot I know, but PM me if you're interested. Or I will sell it if I get a good offer....

Man, I've seen bike shops smaller than that!! :twisted:

Actually, that is pretty slick and a pretty good way to store your stuff!!

IKEA should be spelled "C" "R" "A" "P". No, I went where all real men (who wear spandex outfits) go, a US favorite-- THE HOME DEPOT!

The most fun was getting it into my honda CRV-- forgot to remove the stroller and child car seats before I left the house!

Not exactly sure... Just noticed the bike getting the wobbles downhill, looked over the bike and saw the chain stay had completely snapped through at the front edge of the replaceble derailleur hanger.

Thinking it could be related to an incident a few years ago were a chain link got caught in the rear derailleur snapping the hanger and pulling the derailleur into the rear wheel. Damage bill - front and rear derailleurs, chain, a couple of spokes, derailleur hanger and some paint chips.

Avanti just use generic Al frames, so could also be just general wear and tear having ridden this bike roughly 35,000km?

Actually I was looking at replacing that frame shortly so because the stay snapped it gave me an excuse to buy a new frame :D

When the TIS were using the red and white frames (and I believe the yellow and black) they had a lot of problems with frames cracking. Definitely not a unique problem! One mate has done in at least two. Good luck with the new build though!
