Colnago C40 fixed gear

Postby jbbikerider » Tue Nov 07, 2006 6:00 am

Just rode it today for the first time. I've owned the frame from the beginning(year 2000). Thought you guys might like to see it.

Man, really nice bike. Bit too nice to convert to single speed duty, maybe?

I never get the comment: "too nice to fix, surely?"

I thought it was all about the ride? Plus if you do something period specific (i.e. some dusty, obsolete 80's group set) you miss more of the frame's ride. Riding it fixed will show you more of the frame, no?

The dropouts are for a derailleur, how do you get a good tension on the chain?
