Well, after about 18 months on the Hed Jet 9's (which must be a record for me) they have been shipped off to a new home. New Jet 6's are ordered and will hopefully be here by the end of next week. In the 2 years since I had my wheels Hed has made many changes (new rear hub design with larger axle and bearings, revised rim shape, lighter unidirectional carbon rim fairing) so I am thrilled to get the new wheels. Victoria is more excited than me though!

Nice. I'm a little confused by Hed and their #s. The 6 is just a "regular" road wheelset, right?

You go through wheels like I go through frames! FTR my enve 1.45's w/ extralite hubs well into year 4.

Their regular road wheelset with no carbon aero fairing is an Ardennes I think. They have Jet 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9. The number matches the rim depth. The 6's are 60mm deep.

I have an older Stinger 90 as my front wheel for TT's - under-rated brand in my opinion. Same rim shape as the pre-Firecrest Zipps as they shared the patent - so are fast!

Have you ever thought about running the Vittoria Crono on it? Of course that would be a TT race only type of thing, but it would give you some extra watts.

Turn out that Hed was really backed up and my wheels didn't ship out until yesterday. FedEx says that they will be here on April 2nd.

I rode the Crono tires on the front for normal riding for some time. It worked really well and one Tire for example worked for a hole 8day ride from Italy - Venedig to Rostock (northern Germany) through the Alps and everything. And after this ca 1000km for normal training i Sweden.
But i could never ride them on the backwheel as they punctured after just some km.
