JMT suggested "Desire" because of what I went through to get it!

But it doesn't flow off the tongue to say "hey Wifey, I am going to go ride Desire for a coupe if hours while you watch the kids." Needs a proper hot female name. Kinda the problem with having a dude's name on the down tube too.

Where is that brand based? Australia?

Here's a gratuitous wall shot. Weight as of now is 11.33 lbs (5.14 kg). It will probably come down a bit more. I need to get some scale pics up (tonight or tomorrow). Hopefully the weather cooperates tomorrow and I can get out for a ride.

It's done (mostly). 11.29lbs w/ garmin (500) & speed cadence sensor on there. I still need to replace the cable for the rear brake w/ a powercord and try my latest experiment w/ hoods-- a mtn bike inner tube. If that doesn't work I'll go back to the heatshrink tubing.

I did get the bike out for 35 miles in the frozen tundra of NY-- 2500 vertical feet and this thing is a beast - unlike the old addict sl, it's sooooo stable (the addict was always rather twitchy). Anyone who tries to say it's not worth having a superlight bike has never had the pleasure of riding one!

It was totally worth the amount of time I spent on the phone and emailing w/ NP to make sure I got one without having to wait another 4-6 weeks.
