Etched on one arm in small letters it says SSL/ 8mm/4mm. We have been unable to figure out what this means and we refuse to ask as we want to solve it without any help

SSL is an aluminium alloy with a 'Stainless Steel Look'
AlMgl H14
Not sure why they would use that then anodize it black but whatever :-)
8mm/4mm ? I'm guessing that's the plate thickness they machined it from, we use 5mm for home appliance finishing.

Great review, offers everything I need to choose the best brakes out there
nice one!

Any chance of an update on this with the new SRAM and Shimano DA brakes, plus Revel Hive carbon and the new Engage carbon brakes? :D
