So, my old friend Jeff's face plant has drawn me out of the woodwork. Sorry to hear about Victoria. I forgot to bring the skinsuit to Germany this week to send it you (I could pay postage myself I suppose) it is short sleeve though, I have to warn you.

Any thoughts to replacing the frame? My knowledge of what is out there isn't what it was (but I miss that a bit, and riding more lately I have started to obsess about bikes again) but there are lots of aero offerings around now.

I still think BMC's are the best built bikes out there and nicest to ride, but what do I know, I bought a Storck!

Jeff, ask your friend at Cervelo why it has cracked along the mould join line. I find that a little off putting, it suggests a weak point to me, but I'd have to ask our 'guy' to see what his thoughts are.

Short sleeves are great - it is HOT here all summer long!

The idea of something new is tempting, but we are hoping to buy a house in 3-4 months, so a new frame just isnt an option. Best for me to not even go down that road.

That said, I do really like the new BMC frames that their team is just starting to use.

So i decided to support the local photographer and buy the pic of me at the race.

A few observations:
I love the look of the basebars with the brake levers turned in so its clean like the USE Tula.
I need some new shoe covers. Those ones are awful.
I actually LOOK fit, even though there is a severe lack of horsepower in the engine.

Some creative financing would work-- roll the cost of the new frame into the mortgage! That way you can use the "it's tax deductible argument as well."

When you roll the frame into the mortgage, I can send your wife some Canadian Beer so she will feel like she is back home and with the alcohol content being over double what she drinkds down there, after a couple of beers she will not even remember agreeing to it.

I was good about looking up pretty frequently to ensure that the road surface didn't have anything had coming up and also checking to ensure the straight road was always straight.

At some point a frame will come around that I must have - that time just hasn't arrived though. Also, I have a MTB that is about 30% complete and that will he finished before I even consider anything new for a road bike.

Maybe I need to start a thread with the new MTB project....

What the heck is it with the bears nowadays. Armstrong broke her collarbone after being pushed over by a bear during an ITT. I wonder if it was the same one.

Maybe Kristin, Andy and you should open a club and watch the Tour together.

Victoria has a tentative surgery date set for the 22nd of June. My friend who told me that the repair is easy has agreed to help me do it. I just have to order some parts. I will be sure to take pictures of each step of the repair for you guys.
