27.6 gram F, 93.7 gram R dash hubs

Postby Donald » Thu May 26, 2011 11:32 pm

My new hubs from dash. I think many of you know about dash products. These hubs are top quality in design, materials and engineering. Also great customer service. Most of you know I am a weight weenie. I just like the lightest and best, as long as it is safe and reliable, and a reasonable price. I am very confident about these hubs. I have already built up the rear wheel; 20 hole, Ti spokes, Mg. clincher rim. Total weight is 410 grams.

 that's light!

Does Dash have a website, I had a quick look earlier and couldn't find anything?

I noticed a while back that they stopped selling, or at least stopped advertising, their hubs. Now it's complete wheels.

Seems Dash is only selling each hub model (now 3) in pairs? Not front-only or rear-only?

I'd like to match a Peggy rear with a Nikki front. I personally won't do a radial NDS pattern, I believe it's a poor dynamic.

First post looks like the Mira front / Monica rear

Yep, looks like it.

It could be worth it sending them an e-mail, though. Maybe they'd be willing to mix and match, but their e-shop doesn't allow for this right now.

What do you mean by "poor dynamic"? I'd like to hear your theory.
"Nothing compares to the simple pleasures of a bike ride," said John F. Kennedy, a man who had the pleasure of Marilyn Monroe.

I would like to hear it as well.
Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?

Obviously lacing patterns have been discussed ad-nauseum, but I'd be happy to start another thread specifically on the parameters.
I admit my take is just my opinion, and as with all subjects, no one is able to generate unanimous consensus.
I'd be happy to set out my basis for the conclusion.
