Tuning 2012 SRAM Red FD (Yaw'd) ?

Postby prendrefeu » Thu Jul 19, 2012 2:14 am

The new SRAM Red FD (the one with the Yaw action) is pretty sweet.
I'm wondering though - has anyone thought of taking a dremel to it yet?
Unlike the Tiso FDs, the pivot pins aren't easily removable I don't think, or are they?
Hi/Low Bolts can be switched to nylon, that's a given. All other bolts appear to be Ti and the washers appear to be aluminium.

The front portion of the cage is Aluminium, the rear being steel. At the very least I'd like to remove the front half of the cage and anodize it black.
Thoughts?
