I've been too chicken to go out on Vittoria Crono CS time trial tires, but they weigh in between Tufos and road tubulars at ~180g.

Anyway here are some of the good times to be had on Veloflex Extremes:

the problem? could be the nut behind the handlebars.

180g is a nice weight.

It looks like the extremes are more durable than I probably give them credit for ;)

He did a good job there, the english language never makes sense to me and I'm english!!

That's a lovely looking bike there Gumgardner, very nice indeed. I'm not so sure about your roads though, don't they have Tarmac over there? :D

Btw, Nils is alive and well, still cycling, still with a very nice bike and still a nice person 8)

Ah, so it's Colorado that has the dubious roads.

Glad you like the parts Gumgardner, enjoy your riding, I'm sure that you will on that bike! 8)

I dropped another 111g by switching to the road version of the Aerolite pedals. I tired the TT version for a while but the q factor was too narrow and I was rubbing up against the crank arm. The road version seem to be much better for me. New weight is 4.40kg.
