Excuse my ignorance, but what would be wrong with using the non-Ergo Record levers from the TT group with the buttons positioned similar to the position of the old Mavic Zap system?

Oh, thanks for that pic! I had never seen that before. I assumed that the buttons there would have been a pain in the ass, but it's worth trying out. The only downside would be that it's not convenient to shift from the hoods.

This is sweet!! What i'd want... sorta like what we used to call SPI - 'Shimano Partial Integration'

-left side: stock Campag 11sp w/ 11sp ft der - (fast shifts w/ no trim)
-right side: Campag 11sp modded w/ Di2 buttons, programmed to 'dump' multiple gears, tuned Di2 r der
-internal wires and aftermarket lightweight battery, extra shift buttons on right side near stem

I pulled one of the switches off the brake lever and put it on the bars as shown above. Shifting from the hoods is surprisingly easy. The drops seems good too. My set of buttons is just too big though. So I ordered a different set of buttons to experiment with. The same ones coloclimber was using on his bar-tops. I will try to modify that case to be more low profile.

I wish I could get a hold of a set of those Mavic buttons...

I could imagine that shifting from the hoods would be quite comfortable. Get some of the buttons that are under the keys in old keyboards. They would be really tiny.

Glad I could help! I never realized you'd never seen those Zap buttons before. Make sure you post some pics once your setup is perfect

If you wanted to be really stealthy about it - use the ergobrain button spots and beg for the sequential shifting programming. Would mean one side was up and the other down. Not as good a location for shifting from all positions but you would look really stylish.

I think I have posted them before, it's just a Cateye remote button kit for a computer.

I have 6 sets, and will make custom shifters for my new Speed Concept (only rd), Merida o.nine mtb, and the Ruegamer on the picture
