There is the nice subtle hint :p

So, Victoria an Vicki are both undergoing some front end changes.

Victoria: She's got some Campy Record levers on her now. I just got a Schmolke SL handlebar too - just waiting on the stem to show up to get it on her though. Thinkin' about a new saddle too. Tune KomVor perhaps? I gotta see how that fits my ass though.

Vicki - the Vantage 8 and Hed clip-lites are gone. I am going retro (and more aero) with a Scott 100k bar. I have the bar - just waiting to get my new shift buttons in and installed on them. That's a winter project though. This setup will be measurably more aero - and just different - so it's just cool. Unfortunately the bars are silver - not black - so I will have to wrap them with some black tape or something.

ooh thats sounds cool with the scott bar. i like your retro-new parts mix.
i would paint that bar black, would look much better than tape i think.
or just leave it being silver. should fit your brakes and so on. and would look even more old school

If the Scott bars are set up to their full potential, I am sure they will be more aero than the HED aerobars. What someone really needs to do is design a new aero bar like the Scott using today's technology and have everything built into the bar and using Di2 of course.

Yup, that's the Scott 100k bar. The pic of it with the Vision levers is how I was going to set it up, but I don't know if I will use those or just get some spring loaded cross levers. The Hooker brakes really like to be paired with spring loaded levers, and since they will be mostly shielded from the wind they aero differences shouldn't really matter.

That last pic is actually what I was going to do before I got the Hed bars.

Braking and turns must feel squirrelly on those bars.

From what I hear it's really not that bad. Then again, no TT's that I do are on technical courses.
